I am remembering
an old photograph that brought tears
long ago because of separation
and grief gropes it way back
Here and everywhere there are oceans
but no ships
sky but no planes
that will carry you to me
So I pray
at my self made
god shaped hole in the universe
Save and protect her
wrap and engulf her
from madmen and mayhem
in paradise gone wild

Thanks guys..I'm so happy you like it Mahisshi.
I loved it too. I also missed my sister, who would (hopefully) have written such lovely things to me if only she was here...
I love the last stanza. isnt that every sister's wish?
you both are lovely poets...
c'est magnifique!
my echo
the holes we dig
from the jetlines
of the planes that carried us
from our loves and our homes
estranging us
us running away
from madmen and mayhem
and a lost paradise
love to you and your sister/s
